First it was Heathrow, then Manchester, now London City Airport is to be the focus of a flashmob protest. The protest will be held on October 8 at 17:45 outside Newham Town Hall, in East Ham, with protestors wearing red t-shirts to 'tell Newham Council to scrap airport expansion plans'.
The flashmob has been timed to coincide with the planning meeting that will decide on increasing flights to and from London City Airport by up to 50% and is being organised by local group Fight the Flights and supported by Greenpeace. For more information visit http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/
