BA increase summer sun flights

London City Airport is to gain new flights from BA to summer sun destinations this summer. The airline will increase flight frequencies and add new services for the busy summer season, offering more opportunities for city dwellers to escape to the sun. Two extra aircraft will be added to the airline's fleet at the Docklands hub to operate the services.
A total of 39 summer sun flights to be offered each week, including two new routes - to Faro and Malaga - taking off in June. BA will increase the number of flights to Nice, Ibiza, and Palma.
A spokesman for the airline said: ‘We launched leisure only flights from London City last year as a response to customer demand. They proved so popular, particularly during the summer months, that we have decided to expand this year.'
