New security lanes open

London City Airport has expanded its security search services to 6 lanes to improve passenger processing times. The airport opened an additional two search lanes last month, which increased capacity by 50 {percent.
|Staff|Workers} at the airport worked around the clock to build the brand new facility which was completed and operational in four weeks. To accommodate the new security space 2 outlets, Meridian Line and Coffee Corner, had to be closed. The airport also recruited and trained extra security workers and purchased all of the necessary new equipment.
