New Chief Operating Officer appointed

London City Airport has announced that it has appointed Scott Stanley as Chief Operating Officer at the Docklands hub. Reporting to Richard Gooding, the airport's Chief Executive Officer, he will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the airport, including the implementation of a planned capital investment programme.
Mr. Stanley joins London City Airport from Global Infrastructure Partners. He holds a BS in Engineering from Ohio State University and his career includes time with General Motors, GE (a shareholder in the airport), Honeywell and United Technologies.
Mr. Gooding said: 'We are delighted to welcome Scott as part of the team. His wealth of experience is essential to us as we continue to grow rapidly over the next few years.'
Mr. Stanley said: 'I am pleased to be joining London City Airport at this stage of its development. I am looking forward to working with the team to ensure that our customers continue to receive excellent service as we grow.'
