Terminal upgrade work almost complete

The major upgrade to the London City Airport departure lounge is almost finished. Work is scheduled for completion at the beginning of next month. When completed, it will have 250 more seats, as well as more shops and an area with large TV screens.
Set to open at the end of May, passengers will also be able to enjoy a new bar with free Internet access. And those travelling with airlines including VLM, KLM and Swiss Air, will be able to use 12 self-service check-in desks. The airport is also undergoing refurbishment outside, with a £30 million investment for new parking stands.
