Airport boss pledges to cut delays
09.05.08
The chief executive of London City Airport has pledged to cut delays after its punctuality figures were found to be even worse than Heathrow's. The latest figures show only 58 percent of flights took off from London City Airport on time compared to a worst-ever figure of 60 percent at Heathrow.
Richard Gooding said: ‘We recognise we have had bottlenecks and this will improve punctuality.' He said that the airport has unveiled four new aircraft stands, taking its total up to 14, and allowing it to handle 3.5 million passengers this year.
