Lufthansa launch personal assistant service
10.03.08
Lufthansa is to introduce a personal assistant service for its first-class and Hon Circle passengers at Heathrow and London City Airport. The service will see departing passengers escorted from the check-in desk, passing all queues, to the Lufthansa lounge. Arriving passengers will be met at the aircraft door and escorted through passport control and customs.
The airline made the decision to launch the dedicated service at the two London airports after a successful three-month trial. Marianne Sammann, Lufthansa’s general manager UK, said: ‘The service offers a new and exclusive benefit for our best and most loyal customers, and strengthens our position in the premium segment.'
‘London has the highest share of Lufthansa’s UK based frequent fliers and Heathrow ranks sixth for Hon Circle membership.’ [Hon Circle membership – the highest Lufthansa frequent flier status – is achieved by collecting 600,000 air miles within 2 consecutive calendar years.]
