Drug smuggler in court

A Scottish woman has been charged with attempting to smuggle £40,000 worth of cocaine into the UK after being stopped at London City Airport on Sunday. Catherine Gibson, 57, from Fife, was arrested when she arrived on a flight from Amsterdam, after flying to Holland from Argentina.
Approximately a kilo of cocaine was found in wrapped packages inside her suitcase. She was charged with attempting to import a class A substance, and was remanded in custody at Crawley Magistrates yesterday.
