BA celebrate passenger milestone; new plane

British Airways enjoyed a double celebration at London City Airport this week - record passenger numbers and the delivery of the final aircraft in its new fleet. The new planes helped BA to carry over 100,000 customers from the airport in June - the first time this milestone has been broken in a month.
The latest addition to the airline's fleet based at London City, an Embraer 190 aircraft, is also in operation. It operated its first flight on the London City to Edinburgh route, and will be used on European routes from the Docklands airport including the new flights to Malaga and Faro that took off in June.
