Declan Collier, the CEO of the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), is to leave in April to take up the role of CEO at London City Airport. He will replace Richard Gooding, who will step down from his position after 15 years as London City’s CEO but remain on the board as a non-executive director.
Mr Collier joined the DAA as CEO in April 2005. During his time at the authority he helped to deliver a €1.2 billion capital investment programme at Dublin Airport including its new Terminal 2, which opened in late 2010, and which has moved Dublin airport into the top 5 within its peer group of 5 - 25 million passengers per year airports.
He said: ‘I am really looking forward to my new role, and to playing my part in the future growth and development of the airport following the great work carried out by Richard Gooding and his team.' Roy Griffins, chairman of London City Airport, added: ‘We are delighted to have secured somebody of Declan Collier’s caliber and experience.'
