New Lufthansa Berlin flights take off
17.01.08
A new route between London City Airport and Berlin-Tegel was launched by Lufthansa this week. The new two flights a day service makes Berlin the fifth German city accessible from the Docklands hub.
The launch of the flights - which offer the quickest link between the two cities - was celebrated in spectacular style with a burlesque show at London City Airport. Dr Karsten Benz, vice president of sales and services at the German airline, said that the new route made it 'even more attractive' to passengers in the UK.
He added: 'Business and the leisure passengers will now have a speedy city-to-city connection to either take advantage of Berlin's growing function as an exhibition centre or to just discover its cultural activities.'
