Profits up by 50%
17.10.08
London City Airport's after-tax profits were up by 50% to £15m in 2007 as its turnover increased by 30% to a record £58.5m, accounts recently filed reveal. Passenger numbers also grew by a quarter - to 2.9m.
Looking ahead to 2008, corporate jet movements are expected to fall from 15,000 to 14,500 this year. However, that decline should be more than offset by the increased number of passenger flights, as passengers are forecast to rise to 3.2m.
