BA promotes London City routes
18.10.07
British Airways is launching a new advertising campaign to promote its flights from London City Airport. After a quiet period when the airline concentrated on service and cost issues, BA has been busy with its advertising over the last few weeks. In addition to the major press, radio and TV 'upgrade to BA' advertising push, it also recently launched a comedy viral ad.
The new London City adverts are designed to remind flyers that BA operates from the Docklands hub as well as from its main base at Heathrow (and Gatwick). They feature iconic images of London including Tower Bridge and Westminster to highlight the proximity of the airport to the Square Mile, Canary Wharf and central London.
Created by BJL (Barrington Johnson Lorains), it targets business travellers, and includes press and outdoor elements using the strap line: 'Fly direct from London City'. BA flies from London City to to Edinburgh, Zurich, Madrid, Frankfurt, Milan and Glasgow.
