Aer Arann use bigger planes on IOM route
19.02.09
The first flight of Aer Arann's route between the Isle of Man and London City Airport took off using a bigger plane on Tuesday. Aa new 72-seater ATR plane will be used on the route three times daily, Monday to Friday, once on a Saturday and twice on Sundays. The route started on January 19 using a smaller 50-seater plane.
The Dublin-based airline's technical director John Halpin said they were hoping to be able to add an earlier weekday flight to London City in the future. He said: 'We would like a flight leaving at about 08:00 but the problem is getting a slot at London City. Negotiations are taking place at the moment and we hope to have some news in the next two weeks.'
