Air Southwest Newquay flights take off

Air Southwest launched its twice-daily service from Newquay to London City Airport today. The airline's managing director, Peter Davies, said: ‘Today we are revolutionising air travel between the far south west and the capital and giving people a real choice.'
'Air Southwest now offers up to 6 flights a day from Newquay to London, and customers can mix and match flights to and from London City with our existing Gatwick service to fit their working day. We’ve had enormous support from Cornwall’s business community since we announced these flights. London City Airport is entirely geared to the needs of the business traveller and we are delighted to be offering such a fast and efficient service direct into the capital.’
