Local hospice gets £39,000 fun day boost

The London City Airport fun day raised £39,000 for Newham's Richard House Children’s Hospice. The airport’s annual fun day in July had over 25,000 people attend.
Richard Gooding, the airport’s chief executive, said: ‘We're delighted to be able to donate such a substantial sum to Richard House. Every year, our employees work to put on a great day for local families and residents. It is thanks to them and the generous donations made on the day that make this event the success that it undoubtedly is.’
