BA suspend Warsaw flights
24.12.08
British Airways is to suspend its services between London City Airport and Warsaw from January 6 because of the failure of plane charter company Flightline. Southend based Flightline, which went into administration on December 3, operated a number of services on behalf of BA Cityflyer from the Docklands airport.
BA said in a statement: ‘Due to the failure of Flightline, BA CityFlyer will revise its operations to ensure services previously operated by Flightline on its behalf will be operated directly for the remainder of the winter 2009 schedule.'
‘We will reduce the flying programme on certain low demand routes and notification to passengers affected is being made through normal channels. We will also be suspending the London City - Warsaw service from January 6 for the rest of the winter season.’
