Lufthansa announce new Berlin route
31.08.07
Berlin will become the seventh Germany city served by Lufthansa from London City Airport early next year. Two flights a day will be operated by regional partner Eurowings on behalf of the German airline to Berlin Tegel Airport from January 14.
The new Berlin service will bring the number of weekly flights offered by the German airline from London City up from 66 to 78, rising to 84 next March. Lufthansa already flies to Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldrof, Hamburg and Nuremberg from London City, with flights to Stuttgart to launch next month.
The new Berlin route will be using a BAe 146 aircraft carrying up to 89 passengers with a flight time of 100 minutes. One-way fares start at £45 with returns from £79 (including taxes).
