Fog grounds flights

Flights were severely disrupted by fog at London City Airport yesterday. The weather conditions meant flights to and from Edinburgh, Zurich and Rotterdam were cancelled, with most other services suffering delays of around an hour.
The airport was already dealing with the backlog of passengers from Wednesday evening, when all flights were cancelled because of heavy fog. The mist and fog conditions are expected to continue over London for much of today, with passengers asked to confirm that their flight is operating before leaving for the airport.
